The Three System Modules of The Belt Weigher Feeder

The belt weigher feeder is a comprehensive technical equipment developed on the basis of belt conveyors and electronic belt scales. It adds electronic belt scale weighing to the belt conveyor, along with industrial automation control. This enables simultaneous material conveying, weighing, and quantitative feeding. The instrument displays the instantaneous and cumulative flow of materials and allows for the blending of various materials based on system-set parameters to meet production process needs. The belt weigher feeder features a modular structure, easy operation, stable and reliable use, accurate weighing, high feeding efficiency, and low maintenance. It is widely used in metallurgy, chemicals, building materials, grain storage, and other industries.

Based on these functions, the belt weigher feeder mainly consists of three modules: the conveying system, the weighing system, and the control system. These three system modules collaborate to achieve the feeding function.

 

1. Conveying System

 

The conveying system includes drive rollers, conveyor belts, idler rollers, drive devices, and related accessory components. Its primary role is to stably convey materials. Without continuous and stable material conveyance, subsequent weighing and feeding cannot be discussed. Stable conveyance is a prerequisite for weighing and feeding.

 

To ensure the stability of the belt weigher feeder's conveyance, factors affecting conveyance stability must be avoided, such as belt misalignment, slipping, and tension changes, as well as material spillage and impact, which can affect measurement control accuracy. Guonuo Technology's belt weigher feeder is equipped with belt misalignment prevention and tensioning devices, and structures such as material retainers and seals to prevent material spillage, ensuring stable belt conveyance. Jiangsu Ji adopts a worm gear reducer, which is small in size, has a large speed ratio, and is directly connected to the drive roller through a hollow axis, providing stable and reliable operation, durability, and improved material conveyance stability.

2. Weighing System

 

The weighing system of the belt weigher feeder comprises a weighing bridge, load cells, speed sensors, a weighing instrument, and necessary electrical and cable devices. As the name suggests, the role of the weighing system is to measure the weight of the material conveyed on the belt. Accurate weighing results ensure accurate control and blending of materials.

 

In Guonuo Technology's belt weigher feeder, the weighing frame in the weighing system is supported by two sets of cross springs. The weight of the material on the belt is transmitted to the load cells through the weighing idler rollers. The frame is also equipped with a calibration rod bracket. The entire device is balanced, with no horizontal or lateral displacement and no friction, eliminating the need for maintenance. The load cells in the weighing system are digital, offering high sensitivity, strong anti-interference ability, resistance to lateral and impact forces, real-time and accurate signal transmission, and a sealed structure design to avoid dust interference with weighing results.

 

The instrument of the belt weigher feeder plays a crucial role in the weighing system by receiving and processing weighing and speed signals and displaying the calculated instantaneous and cumulative flow. Additionally, it features various compensation functions, such as temperature compensation, to improve measurement accuracy.

 

3. Control System

 

Based on stable conveyance and accurate weighing, the belt weigher feeder achieves quantitative feeding through the control system. Material parameters can be set via the instrument. During operation, the measured material flow of the feeder is compared to the set parameter flow. Through PID + predictive control calculations, the control instrument outputs signals to control the frequency converter, thereby achieving quantitative feeding requirements. The instrument also plays an important role in the control system by setting parameters and controlling start and stop operations.

In addition to these three system modules, the belt weigher feeder can also be equipped with upper computer software, allowing personnel to query relevant data reports and monitor production dynamics.

 

Guonuo Technology's belt weigher feeder is highly informationalized, with various system modules working together to make it an important equipment for production blending. It plays a significant role in improving the level of enterprise informationization and production efficiency.
