In coal mining, coal needs to be sampled and inspected, with the sampling results used to classify coal quality and guide graded sales. The collection of coal samples is a crucial step in this process, as it determines the uniformity and representativeness of the samples. Traditionally, coal sampling was done manually, which was heavily influenced by sampling tools and human factors, resulting in uneven and unrepresentative samples, as well as high labor intensity and costs. As a result, automated samplers have replaced manual sampling, but the quality of automated samplers varies, leading to uncertainty in sample uniformity.

Guonuo Technology belt samplers are divided into head sampling devices and mid-point sampling devices based on their sampling methods. As the names suggest, the former is installed at the head of the belt conveyor to directly collect sub-samples from the end of the moving belt, while the latter is installed in the middle of the belt to collect sub-samples directly from the running belt.

 

Both the head and mid-point sampling devices feature functions such as sampling, size selection, crushing, division, and return of excess coal. The samplers use a full cross-sectional scraping method to collect samples, without special requirements for the moisture content or particle size of the sampled material. Therefore, they are not only suitable for coal sampling but also for the sampling of other bulk materials, making them applicable in various industries such as metallurgy, coking, and building materials, as well as for the sampling of minerals and coke.

 

The sampling system is equipped with a high-performance PLC controller, which can be flexibly pre-programmed according to user needs. The system can automate the sampling process based on predefined programs. The sampling period can be adjusted in advance through the PLC, allowing the sampler to collect samples at set intervals. The process involves scraping a full cross-sectional sample from the main belt conveyor and depositing it into the collection port. The sub-sample enters the primary feeder, which uniformly conveys it to the crusher. After crushing, the sample enters the divider, and the final sample is collected in the sample collector. The rejected material is returned to the conveyor belt through the excess coal return device. The entire sampling process is automatic and stable, requiring no manual intervention, thus avoiding issues such as uneven sampling and human error. This reduces labor intensity and costs while improving sample uniformity.

 

To ensure stable and accurate sampling, the entire system and components of the sampler have been carefully designed, incorporating lessons learned from numerous practical cases to effectively prevent issues such as material blockage, spillage, and adhesion. This ensures a smoother, more stable, and more uniform sampling process. Additionally, Guonuo samplers are equipped with comprehensive protection functions, including protection against belt deviation, overload, stalling, and limit faults, ensuring reliable and stable sampling.
