Among these, electronic belt scales hold a critical position across numerous industrial sectors. They effectively reduce manual operation time while substantially improving work efficiency and safety.

The function of an electronic belt scale is to continuously measure and display the weight of bulk materials on a moving conveyor belt, operating without requiring material subdivision or interrupting the conveyor belt’s movement. Market variants are categorized by purpose into two types: metering belt scales (for precise weight measurement) and batching belt scales (for material proportioning).


The electronic belt scale integrates two critical sensors: a speed sensor (encoder) and a weighing sensor. Proper installation is essential to ensure measurement accuracy:

1.Speed Sensor Installation

Distance from the weighing frame: Position the sensor 2-3 idlers away from the weighing frame to isolate vibrations generated during belt movement.

Alignment: Mount the sensor on the midpoint of the return belt, aligning its mounting rod parallel to the conveyor’s drive direction (toward the head pulley) to minimize vibration interference.

2.Weighing Sensor Installation

· Mechanical fixation: Secure the sensor between bearings and screws, ensuring rigid connections to prevent operational vibrations.

· Screw length control: Avoid excessively long screws, which may introduce mechanical stress and compromise stability.
