In the field of industrial weighing, electronic belt scales are widely used weighing instruments, known for their adaptability and ability to dynamically and continuously weigh objects without the need for subdivision. However, due to varying industrial environments, conveyor conditions, and user precision requirements, electronic belt scales come in various types. Among them, the common ones are the ICS-17A and ICS-14A electronic belt scales. What are the differences between these two types of belt scales, and where are they respectively applied?

1. ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale
It should be clarified that the ICS-17 electronic belt scale features a lever structure. It comes in two types: ICS-17A and ICS-17B. The former has four idler rollers, a double lever, and two load cells, while the latter is half of the ICS-17A, with two sets of idler rollers as the lever but also equipped with two load cells.
Structural Features:
· The double-lever structure of the ICS-17A electronic belt scale results in opposite moment directions generated by the horizontal force of the conveyor belt on the two lever fulcrums, largely or completely canceling out the impact of the horizontal force on measurement.
· The use of multiple idler rollers extends the weighing area, enhancing material stability and "filtering" uneven materials, thus improving measurement stability.
· It is robust and highly adaptable to conveyor belts and environmental conditions, effectively mitigating the impact of material off center loading, belt misalignment, and uneven feed rates on measurement, ensuring long-term stability.
· The main beam of the ICS-17A electronic belt scale adopts rectangular steel tubes, which are rigid and lightweight, effectively reducing material accumulation and zero drift, and enhancing stability.
Application Scope:
Suitable for applications with high flow rates, long conveyors, and high measurement accuracy requirements. It can be used on main transport conveyors with an inclination angle of ≤17°.

2. ICS·14A Electronic Belt Scale
The ICS-14A electronic belt scale features a fully suspended structure, fully supported, with four sets of idler rollers and four load cells. It has no lever fulcrums, simplifying the structure and eliminating issues such as fulcrum wear.
Structural Features:
· It has no levers, trunnions, or fulcrums, and no moving parts, reducing measurement errors caused by friction and force transmission losses.
· The simplified structure and lighter weight minimize the impact of the scale's mechanical components on measurement.
· The direct weight-bearing design allows the material weight to directly act on the load cells, improving accuracy.
· The simple structure facilitates easier installation, debugging, and maintenance, with a smaller horizontal surface area.
Application Scope:
The ICS-14A electronic belt scale belongs to the high-precision belt scale series, suitable for applications requiring high precision such as trade and production settlements. However, it has higher requirements for conveyor conditions, with an inclination angle of ≤6°.
It's worth noting that both the ICS-17A and ICS-14A electronic belt scales differ in frame structure and the number of load cells configured. However, Guonuo Technology equips them with digital load cells, speed sensors, and intelligent belt scale instruments of the same quality to optimize the overall performance of the belt scale measurement system.
