The primary fuel for power generation in thermal power plants is coal, a non-renewable resource. For sustainable energy development, it is essential to plan energy consumption scientifically and reasonably. Particularly in thermal power plants, to achieve proper energy consumption planning, it is crucial to have real-time and accurate knowledge of coal consumption.
In thermal power plants, calculating power generation coal consumption based on the amount of coal fed into the furnace is a key indicator for economic evaluation and energy-saving and emission-reduction efforts. Coal consumption represents the largest cost for thermal power plants, and the accuracy of measured coal input directly impacts the economic benefits of the power plant. With rising coal prices and environmental requirements becoming more stringent, the demands for accuracy, stability, and real-time performance in coal feeding measurement are also increasing.
Therefore, electronic belt scales used in thermal power plants have higher comprehensive performance requirements, including precision and information management functions. Recently, Guonuo Technology completed the installation of three ICS-14A electronic belt scales for Langfang Guangyan Heating Company. After several days without maintenance or other operations, the scales maintained the same precision as during installation and commissioning, and the client was very satisfied with the precision, stability, and integrated management and operation functions.
The Guonuo ICS-14A belt scale features a fully suspended scale frame structure without ear axis fulcrums or moving parts, eliminating friction's impact on measurement. It has four sets of idler rollers that are sturdy and resistant to off-center loading, each equipped with a digital load cell for direct force transmission and strong resistance to interference from electromagnetic factors. The scale also includes a dual-wheel encapsulated speed sensor that accurately reflects belt speed without jumping. The instrument is equipped with a temperature sensor to monitor the on-site temperature in real-time and incorporate it into the algorithm, reducing the temperature's impact on measurement. Through structural design, technical functions, and improved collaboration among components, the overall precision and stability of the belt scale system are enhanced, meeting the thermal power plant's requirements for accurate coal consumption measurement.
In addition to the precision and stability of the belt scale, to calculate the coal consumption for furnace input and further calculate the input-output ratio and plan production shifts reasonably, it is necessary to have accurate, real-time, and comprehensive coal consumption measurement data.
While the Guonuo ICS-14A belt scale provides real-time dynamic measurement of coal consumption for furnace input, its smart instrument displays real-time data, including instantaneous weight and cumulative weight (i.e., cumulative coal consumption). The instrument also has data storage and query functions, allowing on-site personnel to check historical coal consumption data and display charts, providing them with data on actual coal consumption. Furthermore, the belt scale system offers upper computer software for remote real-time monitoring of coal consumption for furnace input, along with historical data analysis reports, providing accurate and real-time data for planning coal consumption and production shifts.
The application of the ICS-14A electronic belt scale in thermal power plants offers accurate and reliable measurement of coal consumption for furnace input. Real-time and accurate coal consumption data supports scientific and reasonable planning of coal energy consumption.
