Application and Effects of ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale in Coal Conveying Systems

Coal is used as a raw material for power generation in thermal power plants and as a fuel in gasifiers within the clean energy industry. In these scenarios, belt conveyors are utilized to transport coal to designated boilers. To monitor coal consumption, electronic belt scales are employed within the coal conveying systems to measure the coal being transported, thus providing data on coal consumption to better manage production through understanding input-output ratios.

Apart from factors related to the belt scale itself, installation practices, and selection, the harsh application environments often lead to issues such as high failure rates, inaccurate measurements, and poor reliability in some belt scales, causing problems for production operations, consumption ratios, and economic calculations.

Guonuo Technology has extensive experience with electronic belt scales applied in coal conveying systems of thermal power plants. Through comparative analysis of the practical application effects of numerous cases, the ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale has demonstrated advantages such as precise measurement, reliable and stable operation, strong durability, and long service life, making it suitable for harsh application environments.

The ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale features a double-lever, four-idler roller, and two tension-type load cells in its structure, with a verification accuracy of ±0.25% and an application accuracy of ±0.5% under favorable conditions. The scale frame is made of rigid rectangular steel, offering strong load-bearing capacity. The fulcrum of the weighing bridge adopts a frictionless rubber trunnion fulcrum, and the scale frame is resistant to moisture, corrosion, vibration, and eccentric loads, with minimal maintenance requirements due to the absence of moving wear parts. The double-lever structure extends the weighing area, which is beneficial for the often long conveyor belts in coal conveying systems, enhancing the "filtering" capability of the ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale.

The scale employs digital load cells with strong anti-interference capabilities to resist electromagnetic interference at the measurement site of the coal conveying system. The load cells feature a unique connection method for good recovery performance and stainless steel housings to prevent dust from entering and affecting the internal chip, ensuring high protection levels and stable performance.

The speed sensor is uniquely soft-connected to the speed roller, effectively addressing sensor vibration issues and the potential misalignment between the sensor and the speed roller during installation. This reduces the likelihood of damage to the speed sensor and enhances its stability. Additionally, the speed sensor structure has been improved from a single-wheel design to a dual-wheel trolley design, ensuring close cooperation between the speed roller and the belt conveyor for true and stable speed signals.

The ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale has undergone significant improvements in materials, structure, and components, resulting in unique effects when applied in coal conveying systems, including:

  • Stable dynamic zero point with minimal continuous zero adjustment values.

  • Small fluctuations in instantaneous flow, closely matching the actual stable load of the coal conveyor belt displayed on the scale's instrument.

  • User-friendly scale instrument with guided menu prompts for easy calibration and adjustment, featuring one-button zero calibration and no special skill requirements for field personnel.

  • Comprehensive data management functions, including data storage, transmission, and inquiry, with the configured upper computer software providing effective means for remote data and report viewing by management.

The application of the ICS-17A Electronic Belt Scale in coal conveying systems not only provides accurate and reliable measurement data for functional energy consumption and economic accounting but also offers effective support for production management.
